Must-See Oracle APEX Sessions at ODTUG Kscope23

Oracle APEX Track Lead Michelle Skamene shares her top picks at ODTUG Kscope23 and why you shouldn’t miss them.

Incorporating Microsoft Office 365 Services into Your APEX Apps presented by aceicon_0001_Oracle_ACE-Program_Spade_Pro_rgb.png Jon Dixon, Cloud Nueva

Microsoft Office 365 is ubiquitous in today’s businesses. Enabling users to interact seamlessly with Office 365 services from your APEX applications is becoming increasingly important. Imagine if your users could view and update Office 365 Calendars OR view, upload, and download files to/from SharePoint directly from your APEX Applications. What if your APEX Application could automatically perform actions on emails sent to an Office 365 Email Inbox?

Integrating with Office 365 Services is possible using MS Graph APIs, APEX REST Data Sources, and a little PL/SQL. If you attend this session, you will learn how to leverage these tools to incorporate MS Office 365 services into their APEX Apps. You will also see a live demo to give you inspiration for your MS Office 365 and APEX projects.

Of Course, You Can Do That with APEX! The Template Directives Edition presented by Jorge Rimblas, DRW

Out of the box, Oracle APEX has a powerful templating engine. This session is not about APEX Templates, but Template Directives. Introduced in APEX 20.2, Template Directives provide developers with another tool for creating beautiful and powerful layouts. We'll explore the syntax and capabilities with step-by-step examples. After this presentation, it won't take long before you see how to apply these techniques everywhere.

Rapid UI Prototyping Using Oracle APEX presented by Shakeeb Rahman & Tim Kimberl, Oracle Corporation

Oracle APEX enables developers to build beautiful, responsive, accessible apps, without having to become user interface or design experts. In this session, you will witness firsthand how you can customize APEX apps and apply the same design patterns that even the most popular apps today use. However, we'll do all of this in a fraction of the time, using native out-of-the-box capabilities of APEX 23.1 with a pinch of CSS. Along the way, we'll also explore several new features and improvements to APEX and Universal Theme so you can build apps that are a delight to use.
