ODTUG Kscope Community Service Day Renamed to Honor Its Founder

To honor its longest-serving executive director, ODTUG has renamed its Community Service Day to the Kathleen McCasland Community Service Day. 

The first official Kathleen McCasland Community Service Day will take place June 9 in Orlando, Florida, at UP Orlando, an organization that helps 180,000 people dealing with hunger in Orange County, Florida. Click here to learn more.

ODTUG Kscope18 Keynote Speaker & General Session

We are pleased to announce Dr. Heather Knight as the ODTUG Kscope18 keynote speaker

Dr. Heather Knight is an assistant professor of Robotics at Oregon State University. There, her CHARISMA research group uses methods from entertainment to bootstrap the development of social robots. Their research interests include minimal social robots, robot ethics, charismatic machines, and multi-robot/multi-human social interaction.

to impart your wisdom while representing ODTUG. The Call for Speakers is open through Thursday,
March 22, 2018. Submit your proposal today.

Please note: On the submission form, there are two user-group-related questions. Be
sure to indicate that you are a member of a user group, then secondly that you are submitting
on behalf of ODTUG. If you do not indicate ODTUG, we will not be able to see your proposal
or review it.
